Sunlight Air will conduct a webinar series about the reopening of local destinations such as Cebu, Baguio, Boracay and Bohol.
In early August, Cebu resumed its tourism-related activities and reopened its borders to local tourists from areas under MGCQ and GCQ.
On September 22, 2020, the city government of Baguio announced that it will allow entry of Region I tourists by October.
The city aims to slowly but safely recover its tourism by joining a “travel bubble” agreement with its nearby provinces such as Pangasinan, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur and La Union.
Travel bubbles, also known as travel corridors, is an agreement among neighboring regions or provinces permitting travelers to a quarantine-free trip across each other’s borders.
On September 23, the Department of Tourism announced the reopening of Boracay to nationwide tourists by October.
In the same week, Malacanang announced through one of its press briefings that it eyes the resumption of Bohol’s tourism activities also by October.
While local destinations gradually reopen its borders to the public, LGUs, together with the Department of Tourism have already devised programs and strategies in keeping travelers safe.
Learn more about the new process of traveling to these destinations and the measures in place to assure everyone’s safety.
We invited LGUs and travel agents from Cebu, Baguio, Boracay, and Bohol to discuss with us all the details travelers must know before booking their trips to these destinations.
The webinar series will cover the following topics per destination:
· current travel landscape
· specific travel requirements
· new travel processes
· health and safety protocols
· post-Covid tourism programs
· recommended activities to try or places to visit
